| 授業の目的 | The purpose of this class is to provide a general introduction to English language media, especially the appreciation of popular movies without the use of Japanese subtitles. |
| 到達目標 | The goal for students is to become proficient in understanding basic media based vocabulary and develop more fluent listening and speaking skills that will allow better understanding of popular media. |
| 授業外学修内容・授業外学修時間数 | Students will be given movie script excerpts to role-play in class and study independently. Viewing of videos will be conducted both with and without subtitles. There will be dictation exercises and gap fill quizzes to help students master the material. Students should spend more than 15 hours outside of class in preparation for this course. |

| 成績評価の方法 | Grading will be based on 40% in class work, 30% quizzes, and 30% final exam. |
