Career summary
Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Hokkaido University.Winner of the 1985 Kodansha Publishing Culture Award for Scientific Publication with “Aphids with Soldiers” (Doubutsu-sha). The book had long been out of print but was reprinted by Maruzen Publishing in 2013.
Current research theme
Evolution of altruism and social parasites

Past themes include game theory, environmental economics, and various current topics.
